On DAY ONE (July 4):

We do our most popular tourist hike first.... Hike 1 with Option 1

1. St. John and St. Joseph - features:

a. the spectacular "monkey jump" crevice (which we either ascend or descend)
b. awesome jungle hiking under tree canopy (rugged terrain and the absence on any discernable trail through the jungle (in some places) give that "wild" adventure feeling that nature-loving tourists love.
c. coastal views of the rugged Atlantic seabord... as we hike along cliffs and ledges close to the ocean.

Then we move to the South Coast

2. South Coast tour of the historic site of the High Altitude Research Project of the Space Research Corporation.... where you view the rusted relic of the LARGEST GUN in existence....

you can Google: HARP Barbados..... and read all about it....

Dr. Jerry Bull was assasinated by the Israelis for attempting to build and even larger gun for Iraq (early 1970's). This tour involves some hiking as there is currently no vehicular access to this site.

While at this site we climb the hillside and enter Mendes Cave... a cave I "discovered" in the 1990's..... and which, Professor Hans Machel, a Cave expert who has done extensive research on limestone caves in the Caribbean says it contains the best (most beautiful) example of FLOWSTONE... see pictures HERE

On DAY TWO (July 5):

We do our second most popular tourist hike...because travel time is longer to reach the area and the hike is more strenuous than the Day One activity... this is the only event on this day.... and it is expected to take about 5 hours including pick up and drop off time

1. St. Andrew hills hike - features:

a. The best uphill climbs as we ascend Chalky Mount, White Hill, Spa Hill and/or Bissex Hill (we can take on from one to all four of these hills depending on the fitness levels of the hikers involved)
b. The most awesome views.... as we hike along ridges and ledges overlooking valleys and ocean.
c. NO "tree canopy" on this hike.... we see the sky at all times.... and feel the breezes blowing in from the ocean across the hills.

The TWO days may be BOOKED separately or together.... but payment is made after each day...... cancellation is allowed.

PICK UP TIME: approx. 7:00 a.m.
DURATION: 5 hours
